[edit] Participants

The First Revolutionary War was fought between the Neutral Defense Coalition (NDC) and Revolution. Soon after peace was made in that conflict, the Second Revolutionary War would see Revolution facing off against Tribalwar, the Browncoats, and the Grey Protection Agency (GrPA).

[edit] The First Revolutionary War

When the North Atlantic Defense Coalition (NADC) and the Neutral Colonies Alliance Group (NCAG) merged to form the Neutral Defense Coalition (NDC) things were tranquil on the moon. The war system had temporarily been shut down by the game administrators, but that shut down only lasted for so long. As soon as it came back online chaos erupted on luna with rouges attacking anyone and everyone arbitrarily. The NDC had decided to finish off an earlier opponent from when they were known as NCAG. This was Leiwbrian of Revolution. He was systematically attacked by NDC members but the attack was broken due to many recent rouge attacks on the alliance.

When things had calmed down, reparation were asked for and denied. Tensions grew hot between the NDC and Revolution until they reached a breaking point. These tensions were the result of accusations that Liewbrian, along with other Revolution members, had attacked the NDC and were coupled with the Revolution leader's inability to comprehend some things that were said due to being from a foreign country. The First Revolutionary war began woth the NDC's Declaration of War and ultimately ended when Revolution agreed to the peace terms set by the NDC.

Later on the Secratry of Defense for the NDC joined Revolution for the purpose of acting as a spy. The council was unaware of his actions and upon finding out, disowned him completely. Internal struggles ensued and the complete death of the NDC came.

Some NDC members joined the Browncoats. In the end the NDC, to preserve what it had left, merged completely with the Browncoats to help shape it to what it is today.

[edit] The Second Revolutionary War

The Second Revolutionary War began on July 4th when Revolution attacked Tribalwar, and ended six days later on July 10th with Revolution's surrender to Tribalwar, Browncoats, and the GrPA.

[edit] Causes

Revolution declared war on Tribalwar, saying that one of their members had been aggressively attacked by that alliance. It was soon revealed that the Revolution member was actually counter-attacked after he had joined a battle against Tribalwar, and he wasn't even a member of Revolution at the time the fight started.

The Browncoats declared war on Revolution later in the day, after an internal discussion about Revolution's recurring inability to effectively communicate and keep out of trouble. It was decided that, because Tribalwar had few colonies at the top of Revolution's strength range, Browncoats would intervene to avoid a longer, drawn out war.

The Grey Protection Agency didn't issue a declaration of war, but expressed their intention to support the effort in the Browncoats' declaration thread.

[edit] The Fight

Revolution's opening round of attacks on Tribalwar were fairly effective, but didn't seem to be very well coordinated, as when Browncoats joined the war at the end of the day most of Revolution's top members were still not engaged. Aside from the initial attacks, Revolution mostly fought defensively, and didn't have the numbers or coordination to counter all of the attacks against them.

Tribalwar was outmatched in terms of AI in most of the first battles of the war, but was able to coordinate its members well enough to double up against their attackers. Tribalwar quickly transitioned from a defensive to an aggressive stance, and dealt a lot of damage to Revolution's mid-sized colonies.

The Browncoats had the luxury of hanging back for several hours to plan their attack before moving in, and when the time came they were able to hit hard and fast, filling every defensive war slot in Revolution with two Browncoats in less than three hours. The strongest advantage for the Browncoats came from their reservists program, which assigned members to be available to assist others even before assistance was requested.

The GrPA served primarily as an auxiliary force to both Browncoats and Tribalwar, offering to assist in any battle where help was needed. GrPA members were also assigned to two of Revolution's strongest colonies, as Browncoats and Tribalwar were young alliances and would have been at a disadvantage against Revolution's strongest members.

[edit] Surrender

Terms of surrender were given to individual members of Revolution in some cases. In all, 13 Revolution members surrendered over the course of the war, by decommissioning their excess military forces and changing their alliance affiliation to Browncoats POW. They were all permitted to return to Revolution at the end of the war.

Alliance-wide peace talks began on the second day of the war, July 5th, hosted by the Browncoats on the BrownBoards, and open to the leadership of Revolution, Tribalwar, and the GrPA. The negotiations went very slowly, however, as Revolution's leadership had trouble keeping up with the proceedings.

Revolution agreed to surrender five days after talks began, on July 10th, and peace was officially declared. The surrender terms called for 120% reparations to Tribalwar, 60% reparations to the GrPA, and the appointment of a Revolution member, Veit, as the lead diplomat for the alliance. The latter was to help keep the Revolution leadership's poor understanding of English from causing further trouble, as all parties agreed that Veit was the most capable negotiator for Revolution.

[edit] The Aftermath

Almost immediately after their surrender, Revolution officially disbanded, only to re-emerge as Revolution Ex shortly after. Veit, the Revolution member appointed to be their lead diplomat, then joined the Browncoats instead of continuing with the reborn Revolution Ex.

The Second Revolutionary War saw Tribalwar return from its relative state of isolation to take a more active role in alliance politics. The war also helped forge a relationship between the Browncoats and the NDC, who had fought Revolution in the First Revolutionary war, and would merge into the Browncoats on the day that peace was declared.
