A Brief history of the changes that have been made to the game since its begining.


October 2, 2009 -- A sad day indeed. Lunar Wars and Galava taken offline due to inactivity, hacking attempts, and lack of donations.

  • Lunar Wars is Released as Beta
  • 3 New improvements: Pharmacy, Observatory and Drills
  • Improvements have been improved
  • New Donation System
  • Wars re-programmed, now up to 4 war slots
  • Added 5 new smilies
  • Added personal notepad. Click the * next to your user name.
  • Added Favicon
  • Slight forum restructuring.
  • Added ability to post youtube videos on the forum.

  • Housing cost slightly changed for purchasing in bulk
  • New improvement system released. Total of 33 improvements.
  • Many of the minerals have been changed, for balances sake
  • Improvement pop requirement increased, to prepare for upcoming improvement changes
  • Grant formula changed, now on a curve.
  • Ability to CC up to 5 people added. Ability to CC more coming soon.
  • Alliance History + 2 hour flood limit on alliance changes added.
  • Added: Donation Reward System
  • Added: Military Aid
  • Increased purchase price for missiles, orbital fighters, and ground assault.
  • Added cache control in edit profile page
  • Added Forum Ranks and Member Rank Images (thanks Cox)
  • Added two new improvements: processing center and casino. These will probably be the final two improvements.
  • You may now launch economic attacks against colonies unable to defend themselves
  • Strength formula update: housing and military units effect it more
  • AI now has a discount if you want longer in between purchases
  • Improvements now require a minimum population
  • You may now pay war reparations for offensive wars
  • Financial Graph has been flipped around to the correct order
  • Financial Aid system has been removed
  • You may not send money from your colony until it is at least 2 weeks old.
  • Soldier requirements changed to 1 in 5 and police changed to 1 in 10
  • 3 New improvements added
  • Rank feature added to View Colony page
  • Forum footer updated with online user table
  • Aid List updated with search feature
  • You may now gain money from war, and kill police.
  • War mode now gives 200% grants and 50% reduction on police upkeep

  • You may now steal soldiers and ground assault in combat
  • Military aid sending slots have been increased from 2 to 6.
  • New feature in edit profile; Enable Nav Bar Quick View.
  • Offering peace to an inactive colony will result in that colony reciprocating your offer automatically.
  • The peace button has been consolidated into the war actions dropdown.
  • Warnings have been changed to stack better. A new warning type has been introduced; two of these will prevent a user from collecting minerals and starting/joining wars.
  • The recent war list has been given a much-needed facelift.
  • The remaining time until your next turn bonus is shown on the war details page (if you are involved in the war).
  • Up to six people may be invited into a war (total of 4v4). The eight maximum will be relaxed over the next few days.
  • The limitations on attacking a colony with six or more days of economic turmoil have been relaxed to eighteen or more days.
  • Users now have three war slots. One is reserved for a defensive war and two are reserved for declarations against other colonies.
  • Factions have been introduced to wars. There are now distinct sides.
  • New Improvement: Mineral Warehouse, A giant warehouse for storing minerals. +10% mineral storage
  • Moderators can now issue warnings to users. If a user accumulates too many, they will be muted.
  • We have a new wiki! http://lunarwars.wikia.com/
  • {No longer Applies}Iron is now giving the discount on ground assault units as it should be.
  • New upgrade system released. Total of 17 upgrades.
  • You may now steal soldiers and ground assault in combat.
  • Loan system re-vamped
  • War Turn System Changed: You start with 5 turns and gain 3 every 12 hours for 5 days. Ground attacks are 2 turns, Air-to-Air attacks are 3 turns, missile attacks are 4 turns, orbital bombing attacks are 4, and nukes are 18.
  • Added: My Recent Posts, My Recent Threads, and New Forum Posts to the forums.
  • Started using pixel art around various pages. Thanks to all the graphic designers who helped, especially jaideliete.
  • A 30-second cool-down period between PMs is being enforced regardless of the number of recipients you are sending to.
  • Notices were not being sent to the defender when war was declared against them. This has been fixed.
  • Alliance list has been optimized. Come on baby, hold it together...
  • Alliance statistics based off active members only now

[edit] Mineral System Overhaul

  • Housing and AI now require minerals for purchase. Base price for Housing and AI has been reduced to accommodate the changes.
  • Clicking on the icons on your Manage Colony page brings you to the respective purchase page
  • Military now requires minerals for purchase
